President of India and PM greet people of USA on its Independence Day

President of India and PM greet people of USA on its Independence Day New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Ministe Narendra Modi have extended their greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the United States of America on the occasion of the 238th Independence Day of United States of America ( July 4, 2014).

The Prime Ministe Narendra Modi, has greeted the people of USA on USA's Independence Day. The Prime Minister tweeted:

"Independence Day greetings to the people of USA. I envision a bright future for India-USA relations that will benefit both our nations."

In a message to the President of USA, Mr Barack Obama, the President Pranab Mukherjee has said, “It gives me great pleasure to convey warm felicitations and good wishes of the people and the Government of India on the 238th Independence Day of the United States of America.

India and the United States of America have, together, built on the bedrock of timeless shared values, a strategic  partnership that  encompasses virtually every field of human endeavour – one that seeks to transform not only the lives of our respective citizens, but also to create a better world for all.

On this occasion, Excellency, please accept my best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the United States of America.  I wish you and your family good health and happiness and every success in your mission of service to the American people”.
