'Ek Villain' box office collections beat Holiday, Gunday, 2 States

Mumbai:The Shraddha Kapoor-Sidharth Malhotra starrer Ek Villain that released last week seems to be holding strong. Now ending its first week running, the film that opened on a high note, continues its stunning run with box office collections of Rs 77.20 crore.

In this box office report, we compare the first week collections of the film to other releases of this year. Not surprisingly, 'Ek Villain' has registered the second highest first week collections of of 2014 with Rs. 77.20 crore.

It is only preceded by Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho that collected Rs. 88.78 crore. However, 'Ek Villain' out-beats other big films like Holiday, Gunday and even 2 States that collected Rs. 68.65 crore, Rs. 63.08 crore and Rs. 60.73 crore respectively.

Overall, 'Ek Villain' box office collections were Rs 81.50 cr nett till Friday (July 4).
