HM Rajnath Singh visits Head Quarter of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force

HM Rajnath Singh visits Head Quarter of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force New Delhi: Union Home Minister Mr Rajnath Singh visited Head Quarter of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) yesterday. This was a familiarization visit to the Force, which is primarily deployed for guarding the Indo China Border.

The Home Minister was accompanied by senior officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).Mr Rajnath Singh was received by Mr Subhas Goswami, DG ITBP along with other senior officers at the Directorate General.

Mr Singh visited the Photo Gallery prepared for the occasion depicting history, training, operations and other aspects of ITBP. Shri Singh was also shown Siachen clothing being used by ITBP in the border areas.

The Home Minister was given a detailed presentation on operations, border management, internal security, personnel and administration of the Force. The Home Minster was appraised about working of ITBP in different parts of the country, Border Management, LWE ops and Internal Security. He was also appraised about the various problems being faced by the ITBP at border areas.

ITBP deliberated upon various achievements of the Force during last 3 months, which included various operational success in Anti Naxal Operations, achievement in e-publishing, e-procurement & e-office, successful raising of new battalions in phased manner, achievement in land acquisition, training related achievement and achievement in health and medical aspects of the Force personnel.

Mr Rajnath Singh lauded the contribution of the Force in border and internal security duties and expressed that the MHA is already in the process to sort out all the issues of functional requirement of the Force.

HM Singh also inspired the officers and personnel of the Force to give their best in the security of the Nation and to carry out their duties with full dedication and devotion.
