Mumbai: Even though Haider and Bang Bang are releasing the same day on October 2, Shahid Kapoor who stars in the former isn't breaking out in to a sweat. Quite the opposite: he feels confident the film will do well, according to a daily.
You must have guessed it by now, we are talking about 'Bang Bang'. Well, according to reports, it was Shahid and not Hrithik, who was first offered the film. However, Sasha feared comparisons with Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, who features in the original 'Knight and Day'.
Like they say, every film has its own destiny. The makers went on board with a new star cast, enter Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. 'Bang Bang' happens to be the remake of 2010 Hollywood hit 'Knight and Day', starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
As far is Bang Bang is concerned, Shahid hopes the film does well.
The actor added that the two films are very different and have separate things to offer the audience so there's no possibility of a clash, reads the report.
Reportedly, Shahid also pointed out that the five-day weekend will be able to handle two big banners better as opposed to a three-day weekend where one movie inadvertently suffers.
The trailer and promos of 'Bang Bang' have already created a lot of stir among the audiences. The sizzling chemistry of Hrithik and Kat is something to watch out for.
The co-incidence is such that Shahid and Hrithik are all set to come face-to-face with their own respective films on the same day. Who wins the Box Office race—is it 'Haider' or 'Bang Bang', only time will tell!
