World Tourism Day celebrated in Jaipur

Jaipur: With the special focus on the community, World Tourism Day 2014 highlights how tourism can be conducive to advancing sustainable development from the grassroots level.

Community based tourism involves the local population in the decision making process according to local priorities. Tourism thus becomes a catalyst of social cohesion, going beyond the immediate impact of job creation and its positive economic consequences and enhances, for instance, local governance capabilities which multiply the tourism impact even further.

In Jaipur the colorful celebration of tourism day  started with the Ghat Ki Guni Heritage Walk from Roop Niwas Bagh to Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh. It was inaugurated by the Principal Secretary Tourism, Mr. Shailendra Kumar Agarwal accompanied by the Director Tourism, Mr. Vikram Singh. A large number of heritage lovers and citizens participated in the walk to create an awareness for preserving heritage.

During the day a cleanliness drive was also organized at Nahargarh Wildlife Rescue Center. And the tourists were accorded floral welcome at the various monument places like Amber Fort, Elephant Stand, Albert Hall, Jantar Mantar, City Palace and Hawa Mahal.

Jaipur, is one of the most visited cities by tourists in India and Rajasthan state  is one of the most popular for it's culture, art heritage, geography sand-dunes, wildlife and a very different life. Most of the foreign tourists have Rajasthan as one of the main destinations in India apart from other state states like Himalayan states The state has lot to offer for travelers and tourists coming to this place.

Jaipur is also very well connected with capital city of India- Delhi, which is one of the favorite destination for the travelers of different countries. Its like sharing some of the exciting moments and doing enjoyable things of life  to keep in memory for ever.

The secretary Mr. Agrawal shared the enthusiasm of number of heritage lovers and citizens who participated in the walk and appealed to create an awareness for preserving heritage.
