Amitabh Bachchan honoured with Yash Chopra Memorial Award Mumbai: Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with the Yash Chopra Memorial Award at an event held on Thursday in suburban Mumbai.

Big B has worked with Yash Chopra in many films together including 'Silsila', 'Kabhi Kabhi', 'Deewar', 'Kaala Patthar', 'Trishul' among many others.

Bachchan got on to twitter and shared the news of his award. “The Award .. by the Governor of Maharashtra ! and many government Ministers and dignitaries. Honoured humbled and grateful for the Yash Chopra Memorial Award tonight ... such a nostalgic moment and so much grace accorded!,” shared Big B.

He added further, “The award Yash Chopra Memorial 2014 .. such a humbling moment ... each paying accolades ... so embarrassing to sit there and watch.”

The modest megastar also posted about the same on his blog where he mentioned that he didn’t deserve the award. “I am not deserving I know, but it would help if the moment of acknowledgement came within closed doors and drawn curtains,” expressed Big B.

Meanwhile, Senior Bachchan will also be honoured with ANR award, instituted by Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, the Telugu actor.

“I leave to morrow for Kuwait, to be involved with a brand that I endorse … KALYAN jewellers. Its just for less than 24 hours after which I shall fly straight to Hyderabad for yet another award, the ANR Award, instituted by Akkineni Nageswar Rao, a mighty legend of the Telugu cinema father to Nag, now no more with us, but his family give out an award in his name each year. They have chosen me this year .. I am most obliged and happy,” shared Amitabh Bachchan on his blog.
