R N Kovind appointed governor of Bihar, Acharya Dev Vrat named Himachal governor

New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday appointed new governors for Bihar and Himachal Pradesh.

Acharya Dev Vrat has been appointed the governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Ram Nath Kovind, a BJP politician from UP, has been named governor of Bihar.

The above appointments will take effect from the dates the incumbents assume charge of their respective offices, the Rashtrapati Bhavan press release said.
