'Preity Zinta claims some of KXIP players may be linked to suspicious activity' New Delhi: In yet another shocking revelation regarding the spot-fixing scandal, IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab's co-promoter Preity Zinta told the BCCI officials that some players from her team may have indulged in suspicious activities linked to throwing matches, as per a newspapers report.

According to a report published in The Indian Express, Zinta shared this information with board officials who attended the IPL working group meeting on August 8.

The Bollywood actress even tried to make her stand clear by stating that she had wanted to speak earlier about this but possessed no proof.

She even stated that the Indian board’s anti-corruption team has not been able to effectively tackle the menace.

Zinta went on to say that she had felt at times that some IPL matches involving her team had followed a per-decided pattern.

The actress even claimed that she had pulled up players who she thought weren’t playing fair and dropped them from games and even put them up for auction, as per the source of the daily.

During the working group meet, Rajeev Shukla (IPL chairman), Anurag Thakur (BCCI secretary), Anirudh Chaudhary (BCCI treasurer) and Sourav Ganguly (former India skipper) were also present, who have the responsibility to comeup with a roadmap for IPL 9 after studying the implications of the Justice R M Lodha Committee’s report on corruption in the league.

The BCCI had formed the group on July 21.

However, Zinta looked furious by the reports as she took to micro blogging site, Twitter, to deny it.

"Shocked by this inaccurate & extremely irresponsible & malicious piece." - Zinta tweeted.
