Rajnath's direct warning to Pak: We won't fire first, but if they will then don't count our bullets

Rajnath's direct warning to Pak: We won't fire first, but if they will then don't count our bullets New Delhi: In a straight warning to hostile neighbour Pakistan, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that India will not launch an attack first, but if it happens from the other side of the border then it will respond strongly.

“We will not fire a bullet first on our neighbours (Pakistan), but if firing starts from that side then our bullet should not be counted,” Rajnath was quoted as saying by ANI.

Rajnath's remarks came against the backdrop of the upcoming Indo-Pak NSA-level talks appearing to be virtually off with the two countries locked in a confrontation over Kashmiri separatists leading to a blame game.

India has made it's stand clear to Pakistan that the only issue that can be discussed in the NSA level talks between the two countries should only be on 'terrorism'.

However, Pakistan has reacted strongly to insist that it would not depart from the "established past practice" of interacting with separatist Hurriyat leaders, rejecting India's advice not to go ahead with their meeting with Aziz.
