Nation pays homage to BSF plane crash victims New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday paid homage to the Border Security Force (BSF) plane crash victims who died yesterday.

According to reports, the Home Minister paid tribute to BSF plane crash victims at the Safdarjung Airport here.

Besides Rajnath Singh, MoS, Home Kiren Rijiju and Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung also paid tribute to BSF plane crash victims.

The President of India Pranab Mukherjee also has condoled the loss of lives in a BSF plane crash in Delhi.

In a message to Devendra Kumar Pathak, Director General of Border Security Force, the President has said “I am sad to learn about the tragic BSF plane crash in Delhi, in which all the BSF personnel on board lost their lives.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families, who have lost their near and dear ones.  I am sure that all necessary help and assistance is being provided to the next of kin of the deceased.

Kindly convey my sincere words of sympathy to the families of the deceased personnel.  I pray to the Almighty to give the bereaved families the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had yesterday expressed grief and distress at the loss of lives in the plane crash in the national capital.

"Pained by the loss of lives in the BSF plane crash in Delhi. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased," Prime Minister Modi said in a tweet.

All the ten passengers onboard were killed after a Ranchi-bound BSF Superking aircraft crashed at Bagdola village in Sector 8, Dwarka here on Tuesday morning.

BSF Director General Devendra Kumar Pathak had also said ministry of civil aviation and the BSF are conducting enquiries to know the reason of the plane crash in the national capital adding that the BSF family members will get Rs 20 lakhs from BSF's internal insurance fund in addition to what the government announces.
