That the formidable terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (or Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) espouses rape and sex slavery is a fact well known.
For years now ISIS, which has become one of the most feared and most aggressively expanding terror groups in the world, has also endorsing and perpetrating heinous crimes on women and children, both sexually and otherwise.
Now, reports have suggested the manner in which ISIS fighters maintain the supply of these ‘sex slaves’.
The enslaved girls and women are forced to intake birth control pills before they are raped and repeatedly, and probably also by multiple men.
A report in the New York Times has revealed this horrifying truth, through the story of a 16 year-old girl who was kidnapped and sold into sex slavery. In captivity of a member of what has come to be known as the most evil of all terror groups, the girl learned to “fear the sunset, because nightfall started the countdown to her next rape.”
The report said that the fighter who used to molest her, would also force her to take a birth control pill every night, before he would rape her.
As the girl changed custodies, and was passed on to the next ISIS member like a property, the box of pills that was handed to her, went with her.
Talking to the New York Times, the girl said, “Every day, I had to swallow one in front of him. He gave me one box per month. When I ran out, he replaced it. When I was sold from one man to another, the box of pills came with me.”
It is pertinent to mention that ISIS members do not see this as a sin, as for them the Quran not only justifies rape of ‘kafir’ (belonging to another religion) women, but also condoned and encouraged it. Some men of the ISIS have also been known to have prayed before they committed acts of unspeakable horror on women and girls, some of whom are also minors. They believe that these very acts will get them closer to their God.
