Dr Sebastian Martin, the Christian pastor aka Healer Baba found dead, know the facts Mumbai: Dr Sebastian Martin, popularly known as ‘Healer Baba’, was today found dead at his residence on Wednesday.

The Christian pastor who is also known as ‘magical healer’ was found dead at his residence in Vasai, outskirts of Mumbai.

Dr Sebastian shot to fame when his videos of healing patients went viral on social media, especially on YouTube. After that, he was also booked under Black Magic Act.

Dr Sebastian who claimed to cure patients with kidney failures reportedly died due to complications resulting from diabetes.

However, the cause of his death is yet to be confirmed by the authorities.

Martin ran ‘Ashirwad Prayer Centre’ in Vasai, where he distributed ‘anointed’ articles like scarves, handkerchiefs and oil, which were supposed to provide ‘healing and deliverance’. There are also several videos on YouTube where Martin can be seen ‘healing’ patients suffering from various ailments through the power of prayers.

Back in February, the Vasai police had registered a case under the Black Magic Act against the self-styled miracle healer, who claimed to cure all ailments using objects infused with divine powers. However, cops were unable to arrest Martin as he had to be admitted to a hospital for a severe spinal problem.

Earlier in April last year, the Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti had approached the Palghar police with an application seeking action against Martin under the Black Magic Act.

- Dr Sebastian Martin was running the ‘Ashirwad Prayer Centre’ in Vasai.

- In February he was admitted to a hospital with a spinal cord problem, a day after he was booked by the police under the Black Magic Act. The case was registered after the Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti had approached the Palghar police with an application seeking action against Martin under the Black Magic Act.

- He shot to fame when he cured ‘healing patients’ suffering from serious ailments and the video of which went viral on YouTube and other social media platforms.

- He was a self-proclaimed miracle healer.

- In 1985, Dr Sebastian accepted Lord Jesus as his personal saviour and he served the religion of Christianity for 12 years while he was working as a lecturer in college.

- Dr Sebastian holds a postgraduate degree in commerce and a professional degree in Chartered Accountancy.

- Many of his ‘healing patients’, on ‘Ashirwad Prayer Centre’ website had testified but the claims have not been cross verified.

Anita, a young girl, who was about to die because of T.B., comes to ‘Ashirwad Prayer Centre’ and receives her healing miraculously, claims the website.

Whether he was a dramatic man or a serious healer is was never examined by anyone but watch some of his video where he claims to cure people. It looks like it was staged.
