President, Vice President greets people on Dussehra New Delhi: The President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President has sent his greetings to his fellow countrymen on the eve of Dussehra.

In a message, the President has said, "On the joyous occasion of Dussehra, I extend greetings and best wishes to my fellow countrymen in India and abroad.

May this festival inspire us to emulate the righteousness of the Maryada Purush, the loyalty of his brothers Bharath and Lakshmana, the virtues of Sita and the valour as well as humility of Hanuman.

Let each one of us resolve to follow the path of moral and ethical rectitude which has guided us for centuries. May the celebrations bind the communities and regions of India in a true sense of brotherhood and motivate us to make renewed efforts for the unity and progress of our country.”

The Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari has greeted the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. In a message, he said that Dussehra marks the victory of the forces of good over evil and fills the people with the spirit of brotherhood and amity.
