Sushma Swaraj on dialysis at AIIMS after kidney failure, awaiting transplant

New Delhi: Sushma Swaraj has been admitted to New Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) due to kidney failure, an information the Minister of External Affairs herself gave on Twitter today.
"Friends : This is to update you on my health," the 64-year-old leader tweeted, followed by more details: "I am in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Presently, I am on dialysis. I am undergoing tests for a Kidney transplant. Lord Krishna will bless."
SUSHMA ADMITTED TO AIIMS EVEN LAST YEARA year ago, Swaraj was admitted at AIIMS for some endocrinological tests. The doctors said she is a diabetic because of which her kidney had got affected.
According to her doctors, Sushma Swaraj's sugar level remains high, due to which she is facing severe diabetic problems.
In April 2015, Swaraj spent several weeks in hospital due to chest congestion.
