IIFA 2017: Salman Khan will pay a tribute to his onscreen mother Reema Lagoo

Mumbai: The film and television industry lost of one of the finest actors, Reema Lagoo, last month when she suffered a cardiac arrest. Bollywood celebrities mourned the untimely passing of the veteran actress. Reema Lagoo had starred in several films and most of them were with Salman Khan. She played his mother and they shared a close bond off screen as well. After her demise, Salman had even said that he lost a dear friend.
We have learned that at the upcoming IIFA 2017, Salman will be paying a tribute to his onscreen mother. At the IIFA 2017 press conference, IIFA officials confirmed, “We will dedicate certain moments in the performance for Reema Lagooji.”
Remembering Reema Lagoo, Salman Khan said, “Reema ji has played my mother in many films. Off screen, she wasn’t my mother. She was just a few years older than me. She was a friend of mine. I lost a friend. She was a wonderful lady and I loved her. Whenever I see our films now, it feels like I lost my mother on screen.”
