Mumbai: Celebrations for the Wedding of the Year have begun. Akash Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, is all set to get married to longtime girlfriend Shloka Mehta, daughter of Russell and Mona Mehta on the coming Saturday.

The Ambani house in Mumbai, Anitila, is all decked up beautifully for the celebrations and the parties have begun. Last night, the couple of the hour, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta hosted a Harry Potter-themed party for their guests.

The pre-wedding bash had everything, from the Platform 9 3/4 to the exact replica of the dinner table at Hogwarts.

The wedding is set to take place on March 9, 2019.

The Ambanis, Mehtas and the who's who of Bollywood recently landed back in Mumbai from St Moritz, Switzerland, where the Ambanis threw a pre-wedding bash for the soon-to-be-married couple, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta.

The wedding is going to take place at the Jio World Centre in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The Ambanis and Mehtas will host a three-day wedding party in Mumbai for their guests. After the wedding on March 9, the celebrations will continue on March 10, up to March 11, when the Ambanis host a wedding reception for the newlyweds.

The two got engaged in June 2018 in a string of lavish ceremonies in Mumbai. Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta were schoolmates who fell in love with each other. The two were friends for a decade before Akash and Shloka began dating each other. After school, Akash and Shloka both went abroad to study, but they stayed connected. In March 2018, Akash proposed to Shloka in Goa.
