Odisha Society of Americas to Host Mega Conclave on Odisha's Development

Delhi: Odisha Society of Americas (OSA) is all set to host a mega brain storming virtual conclave on the All round development of Odisha in this Weekend. Entitled as Odisha Development Global Forum, the online session will be held on Satruday, 19th December 2020 at India time from 6.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. The Deliberations will cover several vital issues related to Odisha’s Development and will have a mixture of invited guest Speakers and Participants selected from a global call for ideas. Being organised under the banner of OSA’s Library Chapter, Odisha Public Library Initiative (OPLI), The digital platform will witness a major Panel discussion on the topic namely “ Pathway to ICT – enabled Libraries in Every District Head Quarter and Panchayat of Odisha by 2024”. The Forum will have representatives from Government of Odisha as well as from NRO’s actively engaged in this endeavour for more than a decade. The internet meeting will deliberate on a proposal for setting up of a world class museum in Puri. Other important subjects to be discussed during the marathon live streaming convention include Eco – Tourism in Odisha, Tourism promotion using social networks, skill Development, World Class Education in odia for Public Schools, infrastructure issues such as sustainable energy and establishment of a Central Corridor in Odisha. The Highlight of the Video Conferencing Event will be the unveiling of an e – bulletin Board i.e.forum.odishadev.org based on odisha’s Development, which will allow Odias and Odisha Lovers across the Globe to brainstorm and participate in the process of emancipation of Odisha and promotion of Odishan art, Culture, tradition and ethos outside Odisha. These discussions will have lead – in participants from around the World, including NRO Professors from Singapore, Lebanon and USA.

 

The Guest Speakers scheduled to address the Web congregation will include Odisha’s Minister of Panchayatiraj, Drinking Water, Law, Housing and Urban Development Pratap Jena, Minister of Culture and tourism Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, Minister of E & IT, Sports & Youth Services Tusharkanti Behera and Bureaucrats like Bishnupada Sethi, Manoj Mishra and Subham Saxena.
