Poem: Suffering Soul
English Poem: Suffering Soul

It was far beyond midnight
Sleep was playing hide and seek,
The suffocating room was dark and stiff,
The bed sheet was wrinkled and pillow wet.
My heart was in the eclipse
And mind was at the lowest ebb.

The first ray of Sun
That softly brightened the sky,
Assured me to kill the fuggy night........

I gathered my tribulation
And went to the beach
In search of a little peace.........

The sun with all its grandeur
Peeped out of the horizon,
A soft and delicate new born
Was greeted by nature and its  creations..........
I could feel the delicate touch of the zephyr,
I could hear the chirping of the birds.............

Settling down on the wet sand ,
I looked far........far beyond................

I saw the reflection  of the twilight  of my life,
In the serene sea,far........very far inside.....

Frightened,shocked and shaken
Tear rolled down my cheeks
Heart took to speed and mind was numb.

Some pain was gift from my creator
And some agony from his creations.............

Still unable to comprehend
The ways of 'karma and prarabdha'
Accepted it and suffered, suffered alone....

The pain is no longer in the heart,
It has gone beyond and touched the soul...........

The fortunate body will mingle in the fire
But the suffering soul,to eternity,
Will bear and ferry the pain along.................
