Vietnam celebrates 3rd anniversary of Indo-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

Vietnam celebrates 3rd anniversary of Indo-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership New Delhi: To mark the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of India Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Vietnam embassy is celebrating a month long Vietnam event programme.

Under Following the Buddha’s Footprint programme, 180 delegates will visit Bouddha Bhumi Vihara in Bodh Gaya. Boosting Vietnam India Trade and Investment ties Vietnamese businessmen will be attending the Himachal Pradesh Global Investor’s Meet-2019 in Dharamshala from Nov 6-9, 2019. A Robe Offering Kathina will be held in Varanasi at the Vietnamese Buddhist Temple on Nov 11, 2019. Parallely India ASEAN Business Summit with the theme of ‘Today, Tomorrow, Together’ where bilateral sessions between India Vietnam will be held in the national capital. The other events include Vietnam Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion in Bangaluru, Mumbai and Delhi along with their Agriculture products and Vietnamese Film Festival.

To commemorate the 47th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India the Vietnamese embassy will be organizing cultural interactions and friendship exchanges, Book launch of President Ho Chi Minh with India, Vietnamese painting exhibition, ASEAN Ladies Circle, Vietnamese Food show in Delhi, Tourism Road Show and seminar on Vietnam India Maritime Security cooperation in Kolkata and business seminar on India ASEAN with India’s northeast in Manipur. A gala dinner will be hosted by the embassy on the 3rd anniversary of India Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Earlier an Ambassador’s Round Table was held between both countries on the strengthening of bilateral strategic and economic relations in the Defence and Aerospace sectors with the participation of Vietnam’s senior Lt General Bui Van Nam who is also the Deputy Minister of Public Security. Vietnam also participated in the International Students Fair held in Delhi University. The Vietnam Month (November) started with Ambassador Pham San Chau attending the weddings of Khaitan and Kedia families in Jaipur in Rajasthan as Vietnam is pitching itself as a great wedding destination for Indians.

Veitjet, on this occasion announced its direct flight operations from December 6, 2019 from Delhi to Hanoi and Delhi to Saigon thrice a week with fare starting from Rs 13000.
