Delhi: Coronavirus pandemic has taught us a lesson of self-dependence. We need to be self dependent and prepared to manage all of our needs, without hoping for any support from outside.Strong Gram Panchayats are base for self-dependent villages.

So far, around 1.25 lakh Panchayats have been connected to broadband facilities.

The e-GramSwaraj portal will enable any villager to know about the updates of the village development projects. This will increase transparency.

Mapping of properties in villages can be done by the Swamitva Scheme.

The portal is a new initiative of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj which will provide the gram panchayats with a single interface to prepare and implement their Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP).
