International Tribute Webinar hosted in Memory of Mahendra Kar
New Delhi: Glowing Tributes offered to Renowned Architect Late Mahendra Kar in an International Webinar hosted recently. More Than 100 of Shri Kar’s friends, Fans, followers, family members, relatives and well wishers congregated in the online Memorial meeting from across the Globe. The Eminent speakers prayed Almighty for the resting of his immortal soul in permanent peace and expressed their sympathy and solidarity towards the bereaved family. Particularly they underlined that Late Mahendra’s innocent and simple nature, broad and kind hearted personality, ever helpful and reposing confidence on others quality and above all his upbeat high morale and daring attitude to face any kind of adverse situation were just unparallel. His massive contribution to strengthen Odisha Society of Americas (OSA), continuous support and patronage to newly arrival Indian Professionals in USA and his unstinted encouragement and inspiration to friends to move ahead would be long remembered, they opined.
 
Shri Kar died in his ancestral home at village Gholpur in Rasulpur Block of jajpur district on 18th July 2021 at the age of 55.He was the eldest Son of Retired Headmaster Jitendra Kumar Kar. Settled in North Carolina of USA, Late Shri Kar had earned huge name and fame as a technocrat and Philanthropist in USA. He started Odia Radio namely Utkal Prabha in North America, which has been successfully running since last 25 years. Addressing the prayer meeting the main organiser, Late Shri Kar’s younger Brother and President of Business Intelligence Professionals, Dhirendra Kar described him as his friend, philosopher, guide and Guru. He had learnt the details method and mechanism of living a fulfilled life from his elder Brother, he added. Since The Tribute Session was coinciding Late Mahendra Kar’s 56th Birthday, Dhirendra appealed everybody to celebrate his Beloved Brother’s special day in a befitting manner.
 
Paying her obeisance to the departed soul, Late Shri Kar’s wife Ullasini Sahoo attributed him as her best friend, companion and life partner.
 
Late Mahendra Kar’s other younger Brother Dharmendra Kar informed that on 11th Day of his departure a Blood Donation camp and Green tribute were organised in association with Local Voluntary Organisation Helping Hand in his native village. Eleven trees were planted by family members at the Bank of Kharsrota river near the graveyard of his bother in his memory. During the Twelfth day ritual 200 Flowers and Fruits saplings were distributed among villagers with an aim to turn the area into evergreen, where the Soul of his eco – lover Late Bother would rest in lasting Peace, Dharmendra observed.
 
Late Shri Kar’s Daughter Ayesha, Nieces Neha and Manisha offered their prayers during the Occasion. His Son Ayush, cousin sister Linu Kar and Nephew Arman were present.
 
The Prominent Personalities paid virtual tributes during the occasion include Uma Ballava Mishra, Digambar and Jyosna Mishra, Ramesh Lokre, Amulya Sahoo, Dolagobinda Mohapatra, Amar Senapati, Subhasri Dash, Pandit Antaryami Mishra, Paddy Reddy, Nitya Mohapatra, Lalatendu  Mohanty, Rabi Narayan Nanda, Bidyut Das, Harekrushna Sahu, Sidhartha Sankar Rath, Ms. Meera, Chandra Mishra, Binita & Ashok Mishra, Kishore Dwibedi, Sanjib Mohanty, Anil Sahoo, Bigyani Das, Kanak Hota, Gagan & Sabita Panigrahi, Asutosh Dutta, Sunanda Mishra Panda, Bikash Behera, Nalini Prava Patnaik and Kamal Panda.

The Famous vocalist Baishnab Kailash enthralled the audiences with his several soul soothing devotional songs.
