Central Bank of India launches Door Step Banking

New Delhi: State-run lender Central Bank of India today announced that it has introduced a scheme--Door Step Banking--which will provide facility of picking up and delivering cash from the customers' doorsteps.
Under the scheme, the Bank will arrange a service provider, who will collect or deliver the cash to customers' doorsteps.
This scheme will be initially available in Delhi and Mumbai.
''As a complementary service, Bank also proposes to pick up instruments like cheques/drafts from the customers' residence/office at the time of pick-up/delivery of cash,'' Chairman & Managing Director Central Bank of India Mr S Sridhar said here.
He said the Door Step Banking is one of the many new initiatives launched for the Bank's valued customers.
Urging the customers to avail the services of the Bank Me Sridhar said, the Bank is technologically well equipped to provide cost effective and convenient services to customers.
