LA: During her time with The Pussycat Dolls, Melody Thornton was no stranger to wearing some incredibly daring outfits. And it seems that despite the fact she hasn't been a member of the girlband for the past two years, Melody is still channelling their wardrobe choices.
According to the Daily Mail report, the 27-year-old star managed to upstate singers including Jessie J, Nicole Scherzinger and Ellie Goulding last night as she arrived for Elle's Women In Music event wearing an incredibly daring see-through dress.
Melody literally left nothing to the imagination in the brown lace number, which did little to maintain her modesty with its sheer material.
And while the singer managed to draw attention to her gym-honed figure in the outfit, it was something of an odd choice for such a well-attended industry event.
Certainly when compared to her more modestly-dressed peers, Melody stood out from the crowd for all the wrong reasons.
Jessie J arrived for the event, held at Avalon nightclub, wearing a figure-hugging leopard-print number, before changing into a similar printed jumpsuit as she performed on stage.
Meanwhile, Nicole opted for a modest and chic blue feathered minidress, while Ellie Goulding wore a black bondage-style vest top and leather trousers.
But it was Melody who drew the most attention in her odd ensemble, which she teamed with a pair of flat pumps and gold jewellery.
Since the Pussycat Dolls drifted apart in 2010, Melody has been largely off the radar, apart from an appearance on last year's Popstar to Operastar.
However, last month Melody released her mixtape P.O.Y.B.L, featuring her debut solo single Sweet Vendetta.
Talking about her new material, Melody said recently: 'After the Dolls, I let everything go and took some much needed time to put myself back together.
'We worked liked machines and there was little time for maintenance, so I’ve spent the past two years just writing, relaxing, and discovering my musical self without limitations.
'My amazing fans and supporters have been patiently waiting to hear the REAL Melody Thornton and this is my thank you. I’ve written so many songs and P.O.Y.B.L is the first project of many.'
