Desperate Scousewife Layla Flaherty exposes herself falling into mud at Essex Polo

LA: There are certain situations which one aims to avoid when attending a polo match.And falling into swamp-like mud must surely come pretty high on the list.

Unfortunately for former Desperate Scousewife Layla Flaherty, gravity was not on her side last night as she greeted the ground face first after watching the Essex Polo yesterday.

According to the Daily Mail report, Layla's folding chair collapsed, and she was thrown into the mud. The 27-year-old giggled as she struggled to right herself, looking decidedly worse for wear.

Layla's purple halterneck playsuit will certainly require a visit to the dry cleaner, and her silver stilettos looked as though they'd been completely submerged in the ground.

Her chest was exposed when her top fell out of place after the incident, but luckily a patch over one breast protected her modesty.

The only element of her look which survived the accident was her hair, which she wore up in a high bun.She had apparently just polished off a cheeseburger when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Hopefully the experience didn't dampen Layla's evening too much.Layla was certainly optimistic as she set off for the event, tweeting: 'Rain has finally stopped and on route to @Essex_Polo fully prepared for what ever nature has in store for us next! @MissElissaC x '

She must have hoped that not too many celebs spotted her mishap, as the polo certianly wasn't short of famous faces.
