London: A cheeky developer has embarrassed Microsoft after sneaking the words 'big boobs' into a piece of their code.
According to the Sun.co.uk report, the geeky prankster used the strings 0xB16B00B5 and 0x0B00B135 to get his naughty line past quality checks.
But another developer spotted the words and raised the alarm in an online forum, as other geeks fumed at the trick, branding him a “knucklehead.”
Eagle-eyed computer whiz Paolo Bonzini who found the terms, wrote: "Someone was trying to be funny, I guess.”
Microsoft bosses rushed to release a fix “patch” which would correct the problem.
A spokesperson said: "We thank the community for reporting this issue and apologise for the offensive string.
"We have submitted a patch to fix this issue and the change will be published in a future release of the kernel."
