London: Nicole Scherzinger is expecting an earful when she makes her Mother’s Day call.Her religious mum Rosemary Elikolani still gets infuriated when she sees her daughter scantily dressed in photoshoots and music videos.
According to the Sun.co.uk report, the singer’s mother also spies on her using Google — and ticks her off about any revealing outfits.
Former PUSSYCAT DOLL Nicole said: “I’m thirtysomething but she still calls me and scolds me.“She says, ‘I always tell you to not compromise yourself, Nicole’.
“She sees me as the highest daughter. She’s very spiritual. She keeps me grounded. She’s my rock.
“The better part of me is my mother. I’m sure she’s going to scold me for wearing a top that showed my bra while coming out of a restaurant in London the other day.”
Nicole added that one video which got her mum in a lather was Hush Hush — shot back in her Pussycat Dolls days.It shows the Hawaiian-born star taking a dip surrounded by suds before emerging from the tub in the buff.
Nicole added: “When my video Hush Hush came out, I was in the bathtub and she was like, ‘You don’t have to do that!’
“She’s such a mum and I love her for that. She keeps me on the straight and narrow. She follows my career — that damn Google!
“I think my videos are art but she has a different opinion!”
The promo for Nicole’s new single Boomerang won’t make her mum any happier — one scene shows the singer in a leather coat and not much else.
Nicole was out on Friday in London wearing a pair of clingy leather trousers that will also wind up Rosemary.It sounds like she doesn’t get such a hard time from the parents of her Formula One star boyfriend LEWIS HAMILTON.
She gushed: “I want to wish Lewis’s mum Carmen and stepmum Linda a happy Mother’s Day.”
Last night Nicole played London club night G.A.Y. before flying out of the UK.
It’s probably a good thing she won’t see her mum until after Mother’s Day. When strict Rosemary calls up the photos from the gig on Google, she won’t see Nicole wrapped up in a woolly jumper.
