Arun Kumar, the IPS who hold key portfolios in CBI, BSF, CRPF and UP Police now appointed DG of RPF

New Delhi: Senior IPS officer Arun Kumar was on Saturday appointed Director-General of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), today joined the office.
According to official release the secretariat of the Ministry of Personnel, Public grievances and pensions Deportment of Personnel and Training, the Appointment Committee of the cabinet approved the proposal of the Ministry of Railways for appointment of Shri Arun Kumar, IPS (UP:85), Special DG,BSF as Director-General of the Railway Protection Force, Railway Board in the Level-16 of Pat Matrix, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for a period upto his superannuation on 30.06.2021 or until further orders.
He will succeed Dharmendra Kumar, who retires on Sunday. Mr. Kumar, a 1985 batch officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, is serving as Special Director-General of the Border Security Force.
He has worked as Joint Director of the CBI and was in charge of probe into the 2008 Aarushi murder case.
