Noida hosts First Raja Parba with Massive Fanfare
New Delhi: Samudayik Vikas Samiti (SVS) hosted the first ever Raja Parba in Noida with much pomp, myriad splendour and massive fanfare.The two days long ceremony’s venue at Ramleela Ground in Noida Stadium was aesthetically and elegantly decorated befitting to the grand occasion. Looking like a mini Odisha, the entire ambience was agog with festive fervour. Considered as the largest and most popular Festival of Odisha, rituals of Raja Parba are being observed as an obeisance to womanhood at a time when Mother Earth gets fertile for cultivation during monsoon season. A mammoth crowd of  Odias and Odisha lovers alongwith their families numbering Twenty Five thousand congregated during both the evenings of the Mega Event. Since Raja was being celebrated for the first time in Noida, unusual interest, unexpected enthusiasm and unprecedented excitements were witnessed among both the organisers and participants during the Festival. 
 
Gracing the ceremony as Distinguished Guests MP of Gautam Budh Nagar Dr Mahesh Sharma, BJP Leaders Bijaypal Singh Tomar and Mahesh Chouhan, Noted Industrialist Rajesh Sahay, Vastuguru Gautam Rishi, District Magistrate Maneesh Verma, Secretary of Neelachala Seva Sangha Ravindranath Pradhan congratulated Samudayik Vikas Samiti and its Founder Social Leader cum leading Chartered Accountant Dr Manoranjan Mohanty for organising such a huge Festival in Noida for the first time so successfully. They lauded the noble initiatives undertaken by SVS under the able and active stewardship of Dr Mohanty to promote, propagate and popularise the rich art, vibrant culture and lofty heritage of Odisha in National Capital Region. Addressing the gathering the main organiser of the Festival Dr Manoranjan Mohanty observed that Raja Parba is not just a mere Festival, it is a tribute to our motherland, mother tongue and motherhood. 
 
The special attractions of the extraordinary cultural extravaganza were presentations of hilarious comic episodes by comedy king Papu Pam Pam, melodious musical numbers by noted singers Anindita Das, Devesh Pati, Papu Panda, Ms. Jyoti and exhibition of exceptional acting skill by Renowned Ollywood Star Ashrumochan Mohanty. Other notable attractions include the performance of Odissi, Manipuri, Sambalpuri, Gotipua, Jhumar, Tribal and Modern Dance by talented artistes from Odisha and NCR, display of traditional Odia Handlooms, Handicrafts, Ethnic wear and photographic skill in around 25 variety stalls, activities on women empowerment, games for kids, competitions on Mehendi, Drawing and Workshops on Folk Art .
 
The highlight of the Raja Parba was Odia Food Festival offering authentic Odia delicacies like Cuttack Dahibara Aloodum, Salepur Rasogulla, Tanka Torani, Koraput Namkeen, traditional Pithas like Arisa, Kakara, Manda, Chenna Poda, Poda Pitha and Special Paan from Jajpur.
 
The entire arrangements of Raja Parba were well managed and smoothly executed under the supervision of exceptionally skilled SVS organising team consisting of Chairman Dr Manoranjan Mohanty and members Pramod Bhal, Reeta Patra, Dhaneswar Nayak, Debabrata Mishra, Subrat Jena, Shailesh Anandani, Rava Solanki, Bharat Kumar, Deepak Jha, Kishan Sahu, Vinu Bist and Priyanka Rathore.
 
Prominent personalities present include Minaketan Samal, Deepak Kumar Rath, Suryanarayan Mishra, Prabir Mohanty, Debraj  Mohanty, Jnana Prakash Jena, Saroj Kumar Jena, Jitender Mukhi, Gajendra Prasad Samant and Alok Parhi.
