A major revelation has surfaced regarding Dr Umar Nabi, one of the key accused in the Delhi blast case. Sources say Umar aspired to become the successor of Kashmir militants Burhan Wani and Zakir Musa. While all other members of the Faridabad terror module were influenced by Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), Umar was reportedly drawn to the ideologies of ISIS and Jaish-e-Mohammed. Burhan Wani and Zakir Musa remain highly influential figures in militant circles.Sources also revealed that Umar Nabi skipped terrorist Adil’s wedding due to internal disputes within the Faridabad module. The group reportedly regarded Adil as their “Amir.”
Nabi was driving the explosives-laden i20 that detonated outside the Red Fort and claimed 15 lives on November 10.
