Cyclonic storm 'Maha' in the Arabian Sea has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm on Thursday, the India Meteorological Department said. IMD has also issued an orange alert for five districts in Karnataka and Kerala. Besides, in the next 24 hours, heavy rains are likely in most districts of Tamil Nadu, including those along the western ghats. At least 16 people were killed and over 30 feared trapped after a massive explosion took place at a firecracker factory in Punjab's Gurdaspur. Himachal Pradesh Building Collapse: The death toll in a building collapse in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district climbed to 13 on Monday after five more bodies were retrieved from the rubble, officials said.
