Digitisation of Audit: Air Force on Road to E-Governance Dehradun: The Integrated Material Management Online System (IMMOLS) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) received a shot in the arm by the launch of the e-audit initiative at the Controller of the Defence Accounts (CDA) Head office in Dehradun.

The audit function of IMMOLS, which had hitherto not been digitised, was launched formally by Shri Arvind Kaushal, Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) along with Shri AN Saxena, Addl CGDA (IT).

Air Marshal Sukhchain Singh , Air Officer-in-charge Maintenance (AOM) with Air Vice Marshal RP George, Asst Chief of Air Staff (ACAS) (Logistics) and the team of officers from Directorate of IMMOLS, Air Headquarters. The software partner M/s Tata Consultancy Services was represented by Shri KV Narayanan.

The digitisation of the audit function is a huge step in the direction of enhancing transparency and probity in various functions related to stores, financing and accounting of the logistics chain management system of the IAF.

The digitised system has now replaced the manual system of originating vouchers and sending them through mail to CDA Dehradun. Now the entire information and data required by these offices for audit would be made available on the digital medium at all times.

The two key offices of Defences audit i.e the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts, Air Force (PCDA, AF) Dehradun and the Joint Controller of Defence Accounts (JCDA), Nagpur have now been provided online connectivity with the IMMOLS system of IAF.
