Delhi: While people forget their village after getting success, some people are not only coming back after earning a name but want to do something for the people. Himanshu Rai was born in Kataura village of Gauri Bazar area of Deoria district. After serving in TATA Steal, Jamshedpur for 8 years, he studied at IIM Ahmedabad and became a teacher at IIM Lucknow. Professor Rai also teaches IAS officers at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie. He has served as the dean of India Campus of SDA Bacchon, Milan-Itlay. Currently, he is serving as the director of IIM Indore.
Himanshu Rai is an eminent scholar of Yoga and Adhyatma. He is working to spread the Indian culture all over the world. People say that one day a person misses his roots but only a few people are able to do something for their native village. He wants to take his village to a standstill with the library at Himanshu Rai village school, launch of bus service from remote village to Gorakhpur and organize health camps etc. in the village. His thinking is an inspiring message for the modern youth who consider the village as backward and do not want to talk and do anything for their village.
