Coronavirus Lockdown: Amitabh Bachchan Misses Wife Jaya As She Is Stuck In Delhi

Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the functioning of several countries of the world including India. PM Narendra Modi extended the lockdown till May 3 to combat the further spread of the deadly virus. The number of COVID-19 positive cases is alarmingly increasing with every passing day. Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is active on social media, is trying his best to make the create awareness about Coronavirus. Big B has also requested his followers to follow social distancing and stay inside their houses.

We had earlier informed you that Jaya Bachchan is stranded in Delhi due to the lockdown. "Jaya's birthday today and the distance where she is stuck, reduced by the inventions of the day in virtual technology .. she was in Delhi at Parliament when the lockdown happened and she could not come back home, in Mumbai," senior Bachchan mentioned in his Tumblr blog.

According to a report in an entertainment portal, Amitabh is missing his wife Jaya, who is unlikely to return to Mumbai anytime soon. The ‘Deewar’ actor has to wait for some time to meet her.

The report added that Jaya is enjoying her solitude in Delhi as she is catching up on lot of paper work. The actress is also watching several unseen films. She doesn’t intend to go back to Mumbai for some time even when the flights resume as the ‘Sholay’ actress is not sure of how non-contagious travel would be after the lockdown ends.

Meanwhile AB Senior is keen to get back to work. The ‘Kaun Banegra Crorepati’ host is eager to acquire a new skill. He would love to learn to play the piano but the actor needs a piano teacher for the same.

“He is done with watching movies and he’s a very light sleeper, so he can’t accelerate the volume of sleep. He is waiting to get back to work,” a source close to the actor told Bollywood Hungama.

Amitabh Bachchan had earlier shared a photo with Jaya to thank the fans for their wishes on the latter’s birthday. He wrote, “T 3496 - To them that have wished Jaya on her birthday today, my gratitude and love .. thank you for remembering her .. it will be impossible to respond to each of you individually , hence this .. love à¤§à¤¨à¥à¤¯à¤µà¤¾à¤¦ à¤”à¤° à¤†à¤à¤¾à¤° she has been given your wishes and she sends her thanks.”

On the professional front, Big B has a couple of exciting projects in his kitty. He will feature in films like ‘Gulabo Sitaboo’, ‘Chehre’ and ‘Brahmastra’.
