New Delhi: Firing an indirect salvo at Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said it is absolutely essential to ensure that Afghanistan’s territory is not used to spread terrorism and for terrorist activities.
Prime Minister Modi said the danger of regressive thinking and extremism is today increasing in front of the world.
We also need to ensure that no country tries to take advantage of delicate situation in Afghanistan and use it for its own selfish interests,” Prime Minister Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi said the international community must speak in unison in order to strengthen the rule-based world order.
He further said if the United Nations has to keep itself relevant then it has to improve its effectiveness and enhance its reliability.
Prime Minister Modi said development should be all-inclusive, universal and one that nurtures all.
Prime Minister Modi also offered his condolences to those families, who lost their close ones due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the last 1.5 years, the entire world has been facing the worst pandemic in 100 years, I pay tribute to all those who have lost their lives in this deadly pandemic and I express my condolences to their families,” he said.
Stating India entered the 75th year of independence on August 15 this year, Prime Minister Modi said “our diversity is the identity of our strong democracy.
