New Delhi: The high-stake 2024 Lok Sabha elections are a year away. C-Voter recently conducted a survey to gauge the mood of the nation and to know who is the most popular political leader in India currently.
In the survey, people were asked to choose who is the ''best PM of Independent India'' among Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Manmohan Singh and Narendra Modi. Out of these, the C-Voter survey got the maximum response to three names - Narendra Modi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Indira Gandhi.
BJP stalwart and former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee was chosen as a better PM by nearly 16 per cent respondents to the C-Voter survey.
Interestingly, there has been a jump in Rahul Gandhi's popularity due to the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Nearly 14 per cent people prefer him as their ''top choice'' for the PM's post, while last year only 9 per cent people expressed their trust in the Congress MP.
