London: Her Gossip Girl character Serena van der Woodson has a love life that frequently makes headlines. And Blake Lively has equally found herself the subject of gossip when it comes to her romantic life.
However the 24-year-old actress recently told Elle magazine that she takes a traditional approach when it comes to the men in her life.
She told the fashion publication: ‘I’ve had four boyfriends in my whole life. I’ve never been with anyone that’s not a boyfriend. If I spend time with a man, it’s because there’s somebody that I know well who has been a friend for a while.’
Blake spoke out in an interview for the upcoming March issue of the magazine, which features alongside a glossy photo shoot.
The blonde graces the front cover, on which she can be seen seemingly playing up to her wholesome statement in a sweet and feminine white dress by Victoria Beckham. But the rest of the images Blake poses for in the shoot display a raunchier side to the star.
She can be seen posing in a net shirt and athletic tank top in one shot, while another sees her lying seductively in a red swimsuit and matching patent high heels.
She also models an embroidered top and skin-tight leggings for the final shot in the series.
Blake is currently dating her Green Lantern co-star Ryan Reynolds, but has been linked to a string of high profile men since she shot to fame five years ago thanks to her part on Gossip Girl.
Prior to her to her starring role in the teen drama series, Blake was dating actor Kelly Blatz.
She then had a highly-publicised romance with her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgely, which lasted for three years.
The star was then briefly linked to Ryan Gosling before she began dating Leonardo DiCaprio, although her romance with the Inception star was short-lived and only lasted for five months.
Blake split from Leonardo in early October 2011, and went public with her relationship with Ryan Reynolds later that month.
The pair had spent the summer of 2010 filming the superhero movie side by side. Blake took the Elle interview as an opportunity to dispel rumours that she and her 35-year-old beau are shopping for a New York home together.
The actress said: ‘Newspapers say a lot of stuff, don’t they? Though I wish I could afford half the places that I hear I’m looking at. Sign me up!’
And while she opened up about wanting to have children someday, the star was quick to make a joke about what gender she was wishing for.
She said: ‘I hope to have a few girls one day. If not girls, they better be trannies. Because I have some amazing shoes and bags and stories that need to be appreciated.'
Yesterday Blake was seen promoting luxury chocolate brand Godiva, launching their Sweetest Story Ever Told Sweepstakes in New York.
According to the Daily Mail, the actress, who looked stunning in a white and blue dress by Valentino and Christian Louboutin heels, invited her parents Elaine and Ernie along to launch the contest.
One lucky winner will get to meet author Nicholas Sparks, a year's worth of chocolates and a trip to the red carpet premiere of The Lucky One.
