New MAIT Governing Council takes over for 2018-20

New MAIT Governing Council takes over for 2018-20 New Delhi: MAIT, the apex body representing the ICT Hardware Sector in India organised its 35th MAIT Annual Day on 28th June 2018 in Delhi with an excellent participation from its members.
 
At the 35th MAIT AGM, the election results for the New MAIT Governing Council 2018-20 were announced.  The new MAIT Governing Council Members represent Synegra EMS, Dell, Cisco, Intel, TUV,  Lenovo,  Canon,  ESY Tech., Enjay IT Solutions, Acer, Epson,  HP India, Netweb Technologies,  Velankani Electronics and  HPE India.   
 
At the AGM, Mr Nitin Kunkolienker, Director & Board Member, Synegra EMS Ltd was unanimously re-elected as President, MAIT and Mr Krishnakumar P, Sr. Vice President, Dell International Services India Pvt. Ltd and Mr Harish Krishnan, Managing Director-Public Affairs & Strategic Engagements, Cisco Systems India Pvt Ltd. were re-elected as Vice Presidents respectively.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Nitin Kunkolienker, President, MAIT said “We need to move forward in our advocacy with strong recommendations. Industry needs to act together in suggesting strategic path to enable manufacturing in the country.  He further emphasized that “If we change after the change, we will only survive, if we change with the change, we will succeed, but if we change the change, we will lead and prosper.”  
 
Mr Krishnakumar P, Vice President, MAIT mentioned that “MAIT is actively connecting with the industry and the Government to create increased demand for electronics, as both sides stand to gain. Increased technology proliferation is the only catalyst to spur India into a digital and knowledge economy”.

Mr Harish Krishnan, Vice President, MAIT said “In the year ahead, MAIT will be very focused on encouraging authentic manufacturing in India both for the domestic market and exports. There will be a deliberate strategy to build synergy between global supply chain majors and Indian component manufacturers”.
 
Announcing the results, Mr Anwar Shirpurwala, CEO, MAIT said, “We are pleased to have the New MAIT Governing Council on board.  The New GC has an in-depth exposure to various aspects of the ICT Hardware Sector. With their vast experience, they will add immense value towards augmenting and strengthening the ICT Hardware industry ecosystem in the country”.
