Alpana Nayak and her troupe wins silver medal at International Dance Festival in Hue Vietnam

Hue: A big news has come for India from the 2024 International Dance Festival held in the ancient capital of Hue province of Vietnam. India's official dance troupe (Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR, Ministry of External Affairs) led by Indian classical dancer Guru Alpana Nayak has won a silver medal at the International Dance Competition 2024 held in Hue City. This is indeed a great achievement for all of us Indians.
This international dance festival was organized by the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien-Hue Province, which aims to promote cooperative relations in the field of culture and arts between Vietnam and countries and regions around the world. The International Dance Festival 2024 witnessed participation of around 500 artists and actors from 17 representative art institutions from a total of 9 countries including Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos and UAE and the host country Vietnam. Participating artists presented short dances, dance poems, short dance dramas, dance dramas in folk, classical and modern styles.
Artistes representing the participating countries presented their unique dance and cultural features here. The Indian delegation (Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR, Ministry of External Affairs) led by Alpana Nayak presented a vibrant Indian dance. Congratulations to Alpana Nayak and her team.
