Union Minister of Culture Visits Sahitya Akademi Book Stall at New Delhi World Book Fair 2026
New Delhi: Union Minister of Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, visited the Sahitya Akademi book stall yesterday evening during his inspection of the Ministry of Culture Pavilion at the New Delhi World Book Fair. On this occasion, he was welcomed by the Secretary of Sahitya Akademi, Ms. Pallavi Prashant Holkar, who presented him with publications of the Akademi. Ms. Holkar briefed the Hon’ble Minister in detail about the various book series being published by Sahitya Akademi in 24 Indian languages.  Shekhawat showed keen interest and closely observed the entire stall.

Earlier the same evening, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Culture,Ms. Amita Prasad Sarbhai, also visited the Sahitya Akademi stall while inspecting the Ministry’s Pavilion. She was welcomed by the Deputy Secretary (Administration), N.Suresh Babu, with an angavastram and Sahitya Akademi publications. After visiting the pavilion, Ms. Sarbhai expressed her appreciation and conveyed her congratulations and best wishes to all the participating institutions.
