Delhi Literature Festival 2018 concluded

Delhi Literature Festival 2018 concluded New Delhi: The sixth edition of Delhi Literature Festival (DLF 2018) concluded with some of the most exciting sessions. This year's festival which is aimed to promote young authors, kept its promise to include as many young authors as possible.

The last day of the festival started with a discussion on the book ‘Mothering a Muslim’ by Nazia Erum. The book that has started a debate on its title and the subject centered around the state of middleclass Indian Muslims and their concerns, particularly of the children and young adults.   

The next session was the discussion on ‘Trials of Truth’ (Penguin Randomhouse) in which  author Pinky Anand & Gauri Goburdhun interacted with the audience. The book is a close look at criminal cases that shocked the country.

Drawing on her vast experience as a senior advocate and Additional Solicitor General at the Supreme Court, Pinky Anand examines criminal cases that have captured public interest. Breaking down each aspect of cases such as the Nirbhaya rape, the Nanavati murder, the Nithari killings and others, she gives us an inside look and lawyer's perspective into the manner of legal proceedings, strategies employed by legal counsel on both sides and the rigour with which courts come to verdicts.

Another session ‘The Role of Social media in Democracy’ turned out to be most interesting where author of the India Social, Ankit Lal shared his views with Arnab Banerjee COO Channel PR Consultancy.

The session on Raj Kapoor, ‘The One and Only Showman’ (HarperCollins ) Aunique experiment -an autobiography and a biography presented by his daughter Ritu Nanda was the highlight of the day.

The penultimate session with Siddharth Tripathi on the overhyped pursuit passion based on his book ‘Blowfish’ (Bloomsbury) in conversation with Stutee Ghosh, journalist, The Quint & Popular RJ.
