In the last 24 hours, there were 3390 new COVID19 positive cases and 1273 recoveries. The recovery percentage is now 29.36%. Till now, 16,540 patients have been cured and 37,916 patients are under active medical supervision: Lav Agrawal, Jt Secy, Health Ministry


64 more people have tested positive for #COVID19 in Rajasthan, taking the total number of cases to 3491 out of which 1475 cases are active. Number of deaths stands at 100: Rajasthan Health Department

The Tamil Nadu government on Friday said 2,570 nurses will be appointed on a six month contract to serve in the Covid-19 wards. In a statement issued here the government said, 2570 nurses will be appointed on a six month contract. Such persons have to report for duty within three days of receiving the appointment orders. The appointment comes in the wake of Tamil Nadu registering a higher number of Covid-19 patients in recent times. On Thursday, 580 persons tested positive in the state taking the total tally of 5,409 persons. The total number of active cases in Tamil Nadu stands at 3,822 after factoring Covid-19 dead and discharged patients.

Supreme Court disposes off a petition seeking clarity on the sale of liquor and to ensure social distancing while it is being sold in liquor shops, during the lockdown.

"We will not pass any order but the states should consider indirect sale/home delivery of liquor to maintain social distancing norms and standards", Justice Ashok Bhushan, heading the bench said.


Jammu & Kashmir Update: The number of people infected with Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 793, of which 335 have been discharged and nine have died.


Haryana Update : The COVID-19 count in Haryana has reached 625, while 260 have been discharged. The state has reported seven deaths so far.
