The development has come just a few days after Nadda returned from his two-day visit to the poll-bound West Bengal.

During their visit to Diamond Harbour to meet party workers for the upcoming Bengal assembly elections in 2021, the convoys of BJP chief JP Nadda and General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya were attacked and stones were hurled at his vehicle in West Bengal on Thursday.

Nadda was shown black flags allegedly by Trinamool Congress supporters when he arrived in Kolkata's Hastings area to inaugurate the party's election office on Wednesday. Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh, after the incident, accused Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers of pelting stones on JP Nadda’s convoy.
