Congress condemns politically motivated ED raids on Raj PCC president, Sachin Pilot says, the raids proves BJP is losing
New Delhi: The Congress today condemned the Enforcement Directorate raids on the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Govind Singh Dotasra on the eve of assembly elections in the state. The party said, these raids were politically motivated and had only exposed BJP’s frustration as it was staring at an imminent loss.

Addressing a press conference at the AICC headquarters here today, Congress Working Committee member and former Union Minister Sachin Pilot said that the raids were clear indicators of the BJP’s frustration about losing the elections in all the five states including Rajasthan.

Sachin Pilot pointed out, any political party that would be confident about its victory will not resort to such intimidating tactics. He said, the Congress workers and leaders take inspiration from their leader Rahul Gandhi who has himself been facing so many such cases.

Pilot made it categorically clear that the Congress party was against corruption and would support any action against the corruption. But, he added, there must be proof and evidence. He said, what the BJP government at the centre had done today, only smacks of its suspicious intentions to intimidate the opposition parties and leaders. He said, no matter how much the BJP tries, the Congress party and its workers and leaders will not be scared or intimidated.

Pilot also referred to the ED summons issued to Vaibhav Gehlot, the son of the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He said, these summons were reportedly related to a 12 year old case. He pointed out that the timing of the raids and summons prove it beyond any doubt as how much frustrated the BJP was feeling.

Sachin Pilot warned against the misuse of central agencies by the central government. He said, this was not in the interest of the democracy and added that entire state of Rajasthan and the whole country were watching what was happening.
