New Delhi: International indecency Prevention movement (IIPM) hosted a Health Care cum Social Service Camp in Puri during Rath Yatra Festival.The Camp provided First Aid facilities, Ambulance Service, Drinking Water, Lemon Drink and Glucose doses to devotees. Instituted near Gundicha Temple the Camp extended Philanthropic services to lakhs of people during its operation for ten days from Rath Yatra to Bahuda Yatra.The Volunteers of the IIPM under the supervision of Director and Secretary Dr Arundhati Debi undertook a special cleanliness drive around the three Chariots, Grand Road and Saradhabali on the day of Bahuda Yatra.
The Health Camp was inaugurated by Renowned Heart Specialist Dr Amulya Kumar Bisi and Senior Physician Dr Gayatri Mohanty. Dr Sibabrata Karan and Dr Manas Bruhaspati Bisi treated the patients and distributed medicines. Bansidhar Sahoo and Debasish Sahoo co – operated in distributing the medicines. Senior Member of IIPM Guruma Mamata Pradhan minutely supervised the logistic management of the Camp. Manorama Debi, Gitanjali Swain, Urmila Behera, Kedarlakshmi Dash, Bidyutprava Mishra, Kalpataru, Nigamananda Ray, Manas Kumar, Charulata Debi, Bidulata Satpathy, Renubala Biswal, Gita Sahu, Manoranjan Mohanty, Pradeep Kumar Jena, Rakesh Sahu, Shri Kalpataru and Nigamananda Ray helped in distributing drinking water, maintaining cleanliness and offering Allied Services to Devotees. Members of Youth Brigade of IIPM like Kirtiman, Chandan, Saumya, Ashish, Saroj, Vishal, Biswajit, Mama, Nini were serving the ailing patients on 24 x 7 basis under the guidance of Lecturer Indramani Nayak.
During Rath Yatra and Bahuda Yatra more than 500 devotees were treated in the camp. On an average around 300 patients were attended by health care activists of IIPM on daily basis during the Mega Event. Rabindra Behera, Kailash Chandra Dash and Santanu Jena helped in Ambulance operation.The Members of Sovaniya Bahini from Udayagiri, Cuttack, Puri, Konark, Rourkela, Bhubaneswar, Karanjia, Anugul, Buguda, Sambalpur and Malharpada extended their able and active co–operation in running the Camp successfully under the overall stewardship of Guruma Dr Arundhati Debi.
